Welcome to the Barraba RSL Sub Branch

Barraba sub-Branch member Mr. Robert John Sweeney was awarded an OAM for service to veterans and their families in the 2017 Australia Day Honours List.

"Robert has been a long term member of the Barraba Sub Branch and is also a member of Legacy. Robert has been fantastic in relation to looking after our war widows and has been the driving force in recording and acknowledging Barraba Servicemen & Women through a series of plaques around the Memorial Clock" said David Kelly, (sub-Branch Secretary/Treasurer). "Robert is also a regular visitor to the schools in the district where he gives talks on the military history of these service men and woman – linking the children to their descendants. He is a great asset to our Sub branch".
